Hi Joe
I
got yesterday praising comments from the American
clients...( The trip continued to be wonderful with
the tours of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, and a tour of
Hanoi, overnight on a junk in Halong Bay and Saigon.
The travel agents and hotels that they found for us
in Cambodia and Vietnam were some of the best times
we have ever had. The guides spoke English
very well and were informative and entertaining.
We enjoyed many "off the tour" experiences". Candy &
Ron Dammon, Door County, USA “)
Very good Joe, thanks for this. Regards,
Jos |

Family Biking trip
>>
Biking With the Kids
These itineraries are based on our
regular Biking and kayaking trips around
the North Vietnam, altered to
include fun, enriching activities for
both kids and adults. What’s more, two
different age levels ensure your
children meet other kids their own age.
Trips biking in the beautiful
Sapa to Than Uyen Valley, to
adventures sea kayaking in
Halong Bay
Ages 12+
Our trips for children over 12 are fairly similar in structure to the main
activity is either biking or walking, and there is time together and time
just for adults and teens. Meals are often a bit shorter and events are
selected to appeal to teens. For example, we may include fewer wine tasting
and more non-biking/walking options, such as kayaking or horseback riding.
These trips also have extra guides and vans for added support.
Ages 16+
These trips are designed for families with teens and adult kids.
They’re perfect for Spring Break or that last family trip before they head
off to college. Trips range from mellow biking to challenging rides for
athletes. You could say they’re everything an adult trip is--but with
younger legs.
Adults and older children use custom-built, 24-speed TREK
4300 Mountain touring bikes with the latest features for a comfortable
ride, including front and seat-post suspension, gel seat, flat handlebars and
grip shift changers. The TREK bike is available in men’s or women’s models in
five frame sizes. In Vietnam, we have racing-style 24-speed models . Please see
the below page for more details bikes and accessories:
http://bikingvietnam.com/bikes_and_bike_hire.htm
While many teenage travelers ride adult bikes, Marco Polo fleet includes many
options for smaller children. The first decision to make is whether or not
they’ll be riding their own bikes. In our experience, while a younger child may
be used to riding a bike back home, he or she shouldn’t necessarily be doing so
on a Marco Polo biking trip. Some young riders are not ready to handle some of
the daily distances we cover, even when you opt for the short routes. Or they
may be uncomfortable with traffic – which we avoid as much as possible, but
still may encounter in, for instance, a busy market town. So you may want to
consider a destination or easy itinerary depending on your child’s
age. If you do indicate that your kids will be riding their own bikes, we select
what we feel are the appropriate models according to height (unless you specify
otherwise).
